Drumstick Dash

Changing Footprints will be taking part in the 2011 Drumstick Dash held on Thanksgiving Day. This worthy event will be held on November 24, 2011 in Broad Ripple, Indiana. Start time is scheduled for 9:00a.m. Changing Footprints will be collecting new and clean gently used shoes for distribution to needy and less fortunate people here and around the world. Holiday Give-Away

Each year during Christmas many of the service organizations and social service agencies provide baskets, gifts and toys for needy families. They will be contacting us for shoes and boots for these same people. It is because of your generosity that we are able to brighten the holidays for these families.

“Just Because We Care” (Children of Honduras)

Just Because We Care is a wonderful nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, Missouri. Founded by Diane and Bob Wamhoff, they sponsor a small village in the Honduras. They provide food so that the children will have two meals a day, shoes and clothing, school supplies for their school. They also build one new home each year. The Wamhoff team also makes certain that there is Christmas for their village making a trip in December with packs on their backs. It is a real pleasure to work with such a great organization, and we enjoy packing shoes for them every December.

Indy 500 Mini Marathon

For the past seven years, we have been proud to partner with the Indianapolis 500 Festival Committee as they kick off the mini-marathon with registration and an exposition on the Thursday and Friday before the race. Changing Footprints always has a spot at the exposition where the 35,000 runners and their families can learn more about our mission and bring in their gently used shoes.
