Maureen Leisure, (Executive Director) recently retired from Emerson Climate Technologies as a Materials Analyst.  During 23 years of service, she held positions in Customer Service, Shipping, Executive Secretary and then Materials Analyst.  Changing Footprints is a dream come true and a wonderfully satisfying way of providing humanitarian aid and community service.  She was awarded the 2009 DAR Good Citizenship Award in February and currently sits on the Patient & Family Advisory Council at Rush Memorial Hospital. Maureen resides in Rushville IN where her 3 grown children and families live close by and play an active role in Changing Footprints.

Ruth Houk (Board President)  is a retired elementary teacher with 34 years of teaching experience. She has always been interested in finding ways to be a positive influence in the lives of others, children especially. She is interested in not only providing shoes for the needy but also in getting children involved in philanthropic activities. She hopes to accomplish this by visiting schools to encourage shoe drives and community service of any kind.  She is also a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rush County. She and her husband, Bill, have been married 44 years and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Max Banning  (Board Secretary) has over 30 years of experience as a manufacturing executive, most of this time being spent with Emerson Climate Technologies Incorporated and its former Copeland Corporation.  He holds a Business degree from Indiana University and served as a logistics officer in the U.S. Army for four years during the Vietnam War period.  He currently works on contract with Emerson Climate Technologies coordinating a career and leadership development program and facilitating strategic planning events.   He has over twenty years of experience working with non-profit organizations including United Way, Red Cross and Chambers of Commerce in locations where he worked as a manufacturing executive.  In 2006 he was awarded the Ira Lay Award by the Morgan County United Way for long term community service. Max has been married to wife, Linda, for 41 years and has two daughters and six grandchildren.  After retiring from Emerson in March of 2008, Maureen recruited Max to serve on the Changing Footprints Board of Directors looking to bring his previous board experience and his strategic planning experience to Changing Footprints.

Zach Furniss   (Board Treasurer) is a Business Analyst for Roche Diagnostics in Indianapolis.  While attending Butler University’s MBA program, he was able to fill a desire for community service through a partnership between Butler and Changing Footprints.  The experiences gained through this opportunity have evoked a passion for stewardship and giving to those in need.   Zach currently resides in Mooresville, IN with his wife, Michelle, their young son, Grayson, and their yellow lab, Lyla.

Kathleen Sheehan is a Senior Organizational Development Consultant for Community Healthcare Network, serving five hospitals and affiliated entities in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her education includes a Master’s Degree in Adult Education, with a minor in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.  She has been active in Changing Footprints since its inception in 2005.  She is the founder’s sister, Maureen Leisure, and is number five of nine children, raised in Rushville, Indiana. She currently resides in Greenwood, Indiana and loves spending time with her three grown children, Greg, Kevin ,and Nicole, her 5 grandchildren, and two Welsh Pembroke Corgis. She takes pride in the dedicated family involvement in Changing Footprints and looks forward to the many activities that bring family and friends together to make a difference in the quality of life for so many in need.

Bob Broughton is a Manager at Emerson Climate Technologies Indianapolis Distribution Center.  Bob and   Maureen were co-workers at Emerson when the dream of Changing Footprints became a reality.  He was very instrumental in the initial process of startup and is currently the Indianapolis Warehouse Coordinator.  Changing Footprints has been a blessing in allowing Bob an outlet to make a real difference in the lives of others and to share a bit of his happiness and prosperity with others who need a helping hand.  Bob lives in Indianapolis and has been married for more than 20 years, with two wonderful yet completely different teenage sons

Deb Cherry is originally from Rushville, Indiana moving to Greensboro, North Carolina in 1995. While in Greensboro, Deb was a sales representative for Avery Dennison in their Retail Information Services division which focuses on the Tag and Labeling industry for global retail and apparel markets. Her involvement in Changing Footprints is the result of a life-long friendship with the founder and a strong desire to help make a difference in the lives of others. Deb was married in 2006 to Indiana State Representative, Bob Cherry, when she then relocated to live on the 110 year old Cherry homeplace just outside of Greenfield. They are blessed with 5 grown children and 10  grandchildren – all under the age of 8 years!

Nick Leisure, son of Changing Footprints founder, is a long-time employee of Heritage Environmental.  He served in the Research and Development Department before becoming the current Production Manager for Micronutrients, a division of Heritage Environmental.  Nick obtained his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Ball State University.  He currently handles all the logistics issues for Changing Footprints. Nick resides in Rushville IN.  He and his wife, Suzanne, are parents of 5 children.  He currently spends every waking hour in renovation of a very large older home.

Chris Friedl has an MA in Physics and his PMP in project management. He is currently working as a program manager for Liberty Mutual in Indianapolis. His 9 children and historic home restoration are a constant challenge.  Chris considers it a privilege to have the opportunity to use his multiple talents for the benefit of Changing Footprints.

Stephen Jeffries Stephen together with his wife, Joyce, own The Acorn Tree in Greenfield, celebrating 25 years of being in the floral design/wedding/event industry. Stephen grew up working in his dad’s repair shop in Rushville and graduated from Rushville High School with Maureen Leisure. Stephen and Joyce have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren who are the center of their life. Serving in Viet Nam as an Air Force administrative assistant, Stephen became passionate about the needs of children in underserved countries. After a mission trip to Honduras with an IU medical team a few years ago and a lifetime of serving his church, Stephen was eager to become involved in the remarkable and much needed ministry of Changing Footprints.

Keith Perin  teaches English at Rushville Consolidated High School. His wife Kim teaches first grade at Rushville Elementary School East. Daughter Megan is married to Craig Tucker; they have one daughter, Haylie. Daughter Lauren attends Ball State University. Keith is a Rushville Public Library board member and serves on a couple of Rush County Community Foundation committees. Keith is looking forward to helping any way he can.

Edna Moster is a recently retired high school teacher with 39 years of experience. Although involved in a number of community activities, she is especially glad to be involved in Changing Footprints because of its local origin and its mission to contribute nationally and internationally as well as locally. Edna is married to Tom Moster and they share four children and two delightful granddaughters.
